Obituary of John C. Tenney

John C. Tenney, 73, of Peabody, died Monday , December 31, 2012 at theRadius Care Nursing Center in Danvers after a long illness. He was the husband of the late June E. (Quadros) Tenney. He was born inLynn, Ma on August 24, 1939, the son of the late Willard and Lillian (Aylward) Tenney and was raised inWest Peabodyand had resided here most of his life. He was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1958 and was first employed at the former Page and Goodwin Printing Company in Peabody. He then worked at the City of Peabody Public Works Department and later ran a Newspaper delivery route for the Lynn Item prior to his retirement. Jack enjoyed Horse and Dog racing at the New England Race Tracks and also loved to go camping in Maine and take in the Portland Sea Dogs baseball games. He is survived by a son, Willard Joseph Tenney of Peabody, a sister, Ruth Brown of West Peabody, a sister-in-law, Cheryl Quadros, and his step-mother-in-law, Nelia Quadros both of Peabody and by 7 nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at the Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Rev. Thea Keith –Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
