Obituary of Maude ALice (Collins) (Malone) Kemp
Maude Alice (Collins) (Malone) Kemp, 100, wife of the late Leslie E. Malone and John H. Kemp, died Saturday evening at Salem Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Frank Pasmore and Amelia (Martin) Collins. She was raised and educated in Malden and has been living in Peabody for the past 43 years.
She had owned and operated the New Pleasant Bowling Lanes in Malden for over 50 years before her retirement. She also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Malden for many years and was a member of the Happy 12 club in Malden.. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially whist.
She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leslie and Helen Malone of Little Compton, RI, Frank Malone of Peabody and John and Wendy Kemp of Antioch, CA., three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bunny and John Millar of Burbank, Ca, Constance and Jack Sweeney of Peabody and Lorraine Osborne of Salem; two sisters, Florence Stolp of Ft, Myers, FLA., and Lorraine McCarthy of Newport, RI. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut ST., Peabody Facility. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
