Obituary of Kathleen E. (Broderick) LeBlanc

Kathleen E. (Broderick) LeBlanc, 85, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at the Sutton Hill Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the former wife of the late Fernand LeBlanc. Born in Prince Edwards Island, Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Bessie (Pitman) Broderick. She was raised and educated in Canada and has spent the last 50 years living in Peabody. She was an LPN who worked for over 30 years throughout the North Shore before her retirement from Hogan Regional Nursery in Danvers. She was an active woman who was involved with many organizations from St. John’ s Church in Peabody. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter’ s, Ladies Sodality, Eucharist Minister, and enjoyed doing arts and crafts for St. John’ s annual Christmas Bizarre. She also was a member of the Golden Agers and enjoyed, crocheting, knitting, bowling, and traveling, and was actively involved with the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center in Peabody. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ron Foss of Peabody, Irene and Terry TVrdik of Bolton, Gail and Scott Venuti of Beverly, and Lucy and Dick Malone of Peabody; nine grandchildren, David and Daniel Foss, Greg and his wife Rebecca Foss, Ann and Jason Barrett, Richard and his wife Rebecca Spinale, Kenneth and Steven Spinale, Jennifer Dubie and Matthew Malone; two great grandchildren, Cole and Nate Spinale. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins and was the sister of several late brothers and sisters. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, MA 01923.
