I am deeply saddened by the passing of my friend Stella, but are so blessed to have been friends with her for many years. My thoughts and prayers are with her family in their time of grief. May the love of friends and family carry them through their grief and may their memories bring them comfort. Stella and her family will be included in my special prayers.

Aunty Stella was nothing short of a class act. I remember visiting her at PMLP on Endicott Street after walking home from Higgins Middle School and she would always take me around to all her co-workers to "show me off". She was only one of two people that I didnt mind when she called me "Chrissy". She will be missed.Christmas at Uncle Jim's house was highly anticipated every year because of her generosity. Us Gilbert kids always look forward to her "envelope" and couldnt wait to see if we were old enough to get a bigger envelope. To Aunty Stella: When you meet up with Aunty Glo in Heaven, be sure to tell her I miss her too. I will always cherrish your memory.

So sorry to hear of Stella's passing. My mother worked with Stella for over 10 years at the Electric Light. She was a wonderful person and great boss.She was an inspiration for all women in Peabody and elsewhere, as she fought for equal rights.I'm glad she had a good,long retirement-she earned it. The condolences of the Hutchins family to her family and friends.

I have very fond memories of Stella when I was in the GOYA. She and Katherine Apostolides were always helping our GOYA chapter. I remember the many times that they would drive us to Ipswich and Lynn so that we could attend dances and other GOYA functions. I also believe that she was one of my Sunday School teachers. I left Peabody in 1970 but I saw Stella at a concert at St Vasilios during the 100 year celebration. This past Tuesday I went to Peabody to visit my cousin Katherine Asloglou at the same nursing center where Stella was. I went into her room to say hello but she was sleeping. She was a wonderful LADY/thank you Stella for all the rides/rest in peace.Andrew S Venios Leominster Ma
