Obituary of Patricia (McIntire) Espinola
Patricia (McIntire) Espinola, 81 passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 10th at Burlington Lahey Clinic surrounded by her children, brother Larry and his wife Doris. Born on November 4, 1931, she was one of five children of Edmund and Marguerite (Regan) McIntire. After losing their parents at a young age, Pat and her siblings persevered in keeping together as a family. A graduate of St. John's School, she was a resident of Peabody for most of her life. Dedicated and committed to her family, she devoted her life to raising her six children. She enjoyed quality time with her brothers and sisters and found immense joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retiring from a career in retail ten years ago, she spent her leisurely time with her family and enjoyed her weekly lunch dates with lifelong girlfriends. A survivor of breast cancer, Patricia was admired for her dignity, strength and wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her two sons Michael Espinola of Houston,TX and Joseph Espinola of Peabody; by her four daughters Elaine Espinola of Newburyport, Patricia Martelli of Danvers, Pamela O'Brien and her husband Larry of Haverhill, and Lisa Jones of Berlin,NH. She was the treasured nana of five grandchildren Kelli Roesener, Jessica Roesener, Kevin O'Brien, Jillian Martelli, and Matthew Jones and was lovingly referred to as "Ninny" by her five great grandchildren Jason, Kyle, Joshua, Riley, and Brooklyn. She also leaves her deeply cherished brother Lawrence McIntire and his wife Doris of Salem and her sister Louise Eldridge also of Salem; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Conrad Espinola, her brother Richard McIntire and her sister Marguerite McVann, and her long time companion, Leo Richards.
Relatives and friends may visit the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 82 Lynn Street, Peabody from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, January 15th. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 16th at 11 am. Donations may be made in memory of Patricia to the National Breast Cancer Foundation 2600 Network Boulevard, Suite 300, Frisco, TX75034and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation 26 Broadway, New York, NY10004.
