Obituary of Brian James Hersey

Brian James Hersey, 56, of Beverly and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Monday at his home. He was the devoted husband of Cindy (Duffy) Hersey of Beverly. Born in Winthrop, he was the son of Josephine (Corso) Hersey of Peabody and the late Frederick Hersey. He was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody High School, class of 1974. He later attended North Shore Community College in Beverly. Brian was employed as a maintenance man at the former Rainbow Nursing in Peabody. Besides his mother and wife, Brian is survived by his step children, Gerald Duffy of Wilmington, Kristen Conde of Lynn and Alisha Duffy of Wilmington, his brothers, Michael and his wife Jackie Hersey of Salem, NH, Scott and his wife Charlene Hersey of Billerica, and Paul Hersey of Peabody, his sisters, Deborah Hersey of Peabody, Elizabeth and her husband Brad Chaffee and Suzanne and her husband Stephen Mearls, all of Billerica, and is also survived by several niece, nephews and by his grandson with whom he was very close to, Nathan Paul Conde of Lynn. His funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
