Obituary of Amy F. (Somers) DesJardins

Amy F. (Somers) Des Jardins PEABODY—Amy F. (Somers) Des Jardins, 82, beloved wife of the late Charles Des Jardins, Sr., died peacefully at the Pilgrim House Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody on Saturday January 19, 2013. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Amy (Fullerton) Somers. She grew up in East Boston, and lived in Peabody for over 50 years. Mrs. DesJardins was happiest when gathering with family and friends at her home. She is survived by a daughter Gail Calhoun of Peabody; a son Charles Des Jardins of ME; nine grandchildren Jennifer Stoey & her husband Paul, Stephen Calhoun, Scott Calhoun, Amy Beth Calhoun, Chris DesJardins, Rachel DesJardins, Kerri DesJardins, Samantha DesJardins, and Chuck Allen; four great-grandchildren, Brett and Breanna Stoey, Isabella Allen and Jocelyn DesJardins; a sister Louise Kennison of Peabody, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband, by nine brothers and sisters and several nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday January 24, 2013 from 10:30 AM – 12 Noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A Funeral Service will follow at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Please
