Obituary of Mary J. (Boudreau) Silva

Mary J. Silva, 67, of Peabody, died Sunday morning at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Silva. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Al and Helen (Sheehan) Boudreau. She was raised and educated in Peabody. Mary was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for various nursing homes throughout the North Shore for over 25 years before retiring in 2008. Mary enjoyed countless hours singing karaoke with her friends and family. She also enjoyed writing poems and spending time with her family and later with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by a son, Andrew Silva of Beverly and his fiancé Suzanne Silva, her two daughters and son-in-law, Erin and Glenn Stokes of Peabody and Kelly Silva of Beverly, her four beloved grandchildren, Brandie, Jesse, Kyle, and Travis, her three great grandchildren, Trevor, Angelyna, and Aubrey, and is also survived by her brother-in-law, Martin “Skip” and his wife Sue Silva of Biddeford, Me and by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert Boudreau. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral services will be private. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
