Obituary of Douglas S. Willis

Douglas S. Willis PEABODY—Douglas S. Willis, 47, passed away peacefully at his home in Peabody on Thursday January 31, 2013. Born in Fayetteville, NC, he was the son of Katherine (Rader) Petersen of Peabody and the late Roger Willis. He grew up in California and played football in high school. He was a machinist, recently employed with J & G Machine Shop in Lawrence. Doug enjoyed living the life of an outdoorsman—fishing, sports and the ocean. He will be remembered for his good heart, as he would always be doing things for others. He is survived by his mother Katherine Petersen of Peabody; a sister Barbara Gibson of Boxford; several step-siblings in California, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday February 6, 2013 from 5 – 7 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, with a Funeral Service honoring his life at 7 PM. Cremation will follow the ceremony.
