Obituary of Helen P. (Bodge) Lynch

Helen P. (Bodge) Lynch PEABODY—Helen P. (Bodge) Lynch, 88, beloved wife of the late George R. Lynch, died peacefully in her sleep at the Twin Oaks Healthcare Facility in Danvers on Monday February 4, 2013. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Perley and Laura (Murphy) Bodge and was a lifelong Peabody resident. She graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1941, and was able to attend all 70 of her Class Reunions. Mrs. Lynch enjoyed being home with her family, and she also worked as an Assistant City Collector with the City of Peabody. Helen was a member of the Peabody Historical Society, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was an active parishioner at St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody, and she loved to read and take care of her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her devotion and dedication to her family and friends, and will be missed by those who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Helen Mannix and son George F. Lynch both of Peabody; four grandchildren, Laura & her husband Christopher Pitman of Beverly, Lisa & her husband Jonathan Queenin of Westfield, Kim & her husband James Lynch of Salem, and Kelly Lynch of Peabody; three great-grandchildren, Ryley, Norah, and Casey Pitman all of Beverly, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Thursday February 7, 2013 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
