Carol Ann (Dudley) Melville
PEABODY—Carol A. (Dudley) Melville, 70, beloved wife of Carl Melville of Peabody, died peacefully on Monday morning February 4, 2013 in the North Shore Medical Center—Salem Hospital.
Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Ann (Condon) Dudley. She lived a short time in Danvers and grew up in Salem. She graduated from Salem High School. After she was married, she lived in Peabody for the last 53 years.
She was employed as an assembler with Analog Devices in Peabody. Most recently she loved her career as a Caregiver and cook in residential homes with Bass River in Beverly.
Carol enjoyed gatherings of her family and friends where she would display her cooking talents. She enjoyed the adventure of games at Foxwoods, and short road trips with her husband around New England.
She is survived by her husband Carl Melville of Peabody, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage; a son Robert Melville & his fiance Michelle Perry of Peabody; two daughters, Lisa & her husband David Jordan of Peabody and Laurie & her husband David Strangie of Apopka, FL; seven grandchildren, Robert and Elisha Melville, Ryan and Kaylan Melville, and Kyle, Cory, and Craig Jordan; a daughter-in-law Carol Melville of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a son Richard Melville, brother Ronald Dudley and sisters Mariana Richards and Patricia Cudmore.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made for breast cancer to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 89 South St., # 802, Boston, MA 02111.
