Obituary of Joan G. Silvio

Joan G. (Moynihan) Silvio, 77, of Peabody, died Tuesday morning at the Radius Health Care Center in Danvers following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Joseph Silvio with whom she shared over 58 years or marriage. Born in Stoneham, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Walsh) Moynihan. She was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School, class of 1953. She has lived in Peabody for the past 48 years. Joan was employed as an accounts payable clerk at the former Lechmere office in Woburn for many years before retiring in 2001. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Donna Silvio of Beverly and Paul and Kathy Silvio of Bedford, NH, a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and Mickey Mutti of North Reading and by her seven grandchildren, Jessica and Dennis Silvio of Beverly, Abigail, Elizabeth, and Quinn Silvio and Billy and Tyler Gamble, all of New Hampshire and also by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
