Obituary of Eleanor E. (Tella) Tracchia

Eleanor E. (Tella) Tracchia, 83 years, wife of Charles J. Tracchia of Peabody died Wednesday at the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home following a brief illness. Mrs. Tracchia was born Nov. 28, 1919 in Lynn, MA daughter of the late Alfred and Mary (Lopez) Tella. She was educated in the Lynn School system. She moved to Peabody in 1942 where she and her husband made their home and raised their family. She was a devoted mother and doting grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint and cooking. She also played the piano and guitar. In addition to her husband of 63 years she is survived by two sons, Ronald S. Tracchia and Charles J. Tracchia both of Peabody; a daughter and her husband, Marilyn C. and Michael F. Novak of Peabody; five grandchildren, Peter Tracchia of Deerfield, MA, Amy Lanzoni and Phillip Tracchia both of Peabody, James Collins and Juli Ventre both of Beverly; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody location 978-531-0472 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Lynn.
