Obituary of Clement J. "Clem" Danisiewicz
Clement J. “Clem” Danisiewicz, 98, of Peabody, beloved husband of Josephine S. (Pietraszek) Danisiewicz, died on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the NSMC – Union Hospital in Lynn after being stricken at his residence.
Mr. Danisiewicz was born in Lynn, on January 28, 1915, son of Michael and Stephanie (Buzun) Danisiewicz. He was raised in Lynn and graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1933 and resided in Lynn before making his home in Peabody.
Mr. Danisiewicz was employed as a Machinist at General Electric in Lynn, a position he held for 39 years until his retirement in 1980. He devoted his life creating a home for his family and later he was so proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their accomplishments and his newest great great-grandson Ryder Brennan. He was a former member of St. Joseph’s Church, a member of the Golden Agers both in Peabody, St. Michael’s Society in Lynn. Following his retirement, he and his wife also wintered in Port Richey, FL. Clem was a proud member of AA for 44 years and active up until his death. Members remember him as a great inspiration for newcomers and always leaving them with his closing remarks “Easy Does It”.
In addition to his wife with whom he shared 62 years of marriage, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Michael and Patte Danisiewicz of Port Angeles, WA, Stephanie and John Dusvitch of Revere, and Maryann DeJoy and her partner Ron Maloof of Lynn; his grandchildren, Joseph and Robin Dusvitch of NH, Christopher and Josephine Dusvitch of FL, Nicole and Michael Popp of Revere, and Ryan Danisiewicz of WA; his great grandchildren, Courtney and Dan Brennan, Brianna and Michael Popp, Eva and Jackson Dusvitch; his siblings, Stanley and Irene Danisiewicz of Lynnfield, and Josephine Dzierszak of Lynn; a sister-in-law, Ann Krawczyk of Danvers; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anthony, Walter and Edward Danisiewicz, Helen Myslinski and Ann Gesek.
Mr. Danisiewicz’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later date.
