Obituary of Catherine "Kay" Marie Marcotti
Catherine M. “Kay” Marcotti, 91, of Peabody, died early Wednesday morning at the Sunrise Assisted Facility in Peabody following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Chester Marcotti, Jr.
Born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Fitzgerald) Morrissey. She was raised and educated in Somerville and has lived in Peabody for the past 32 years.
Kay was employed at Analogic in Wakefield and later at GTE Sylvania doing assembly and testing for various components and machinery before retiring many years ago. .
Kay is survived by her four loving sons, Chester Marcotti III and his wife Antoinette “Tony” of Manchester, NH, Thomas and Helen Marcotti of Peabody, Ronald Marcotti of Lowell, and Michael Marcotti of Beverly, her brother, Richard “Dickie” Bullwinkle of Waltham, her sisters, Dorothy “Dottie” Sylvan of Somerville and Lorraine “Baby” Dennehy of Dorchester and is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her bother John Morrissey and daughter-in-law, Maureen Marcotti.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. John’s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
