Obituary of David A. Kempton

David A. Kempton LYNN—David A. Kempton, 61, beloved husband of Sandra (Winchell) Kempton, died Monday March 4, 2013 at the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Rollins and Dorothy (Chafe) Kempton. He grew up in Lynn and graduated from Lynn English High School. Mr. Kempton reconditioned cars with his father-in-law. He also worked at Lynn Screw & Machine Shop, and Auto City in Revere until disabilities prevented him from working. David enjoyed being outside to go fishing, and watching movies. He is survived by his wife Sandra (Winchell) Kempton of Lynn, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage; a son David Kempton, Jr. of Lynn; four brothers, Richard Kempton of Lynn, Robert Kempton of Groveland, Rollins Kempton, Jr. of Boxford, Allen Kempton of NH; three sisters Dianne McQuade of Peabody, Donna Dempsey of Amesbury, and Dorothy Farnsworth of Lynn, and several nieces and nephews. he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Kempton. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Monday from 4 – 6 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 6 P.M. Cremation will follow the ceremony
