Obituary of Claire B. (Milotte) Brodbine

Claire B. (Milotte) Brodbine PEABODY Claire B. (Milotte) Brodbine, 71, died on Thursday at the North Shore Medical Center/Salem Hospital while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late J. Leo and Rose E. (Galvin) Milotte. She lived as a young girl in Lynnfield, and graduated from Wakefield High School. She then graduated from Burdette College where she studied Secretarial and Business. She lived in Peabody for the last 47 years. Mrs. Brodbine first was employed as a Legal Secretary, and mostly known for her service in the Administrative Office at Bishop Fenwick High School where she worked for over 13 years before retiring at an early age. She was an active communicant at St. Adelaide’ s Parish, as a member of the Adult Choir, Lector, Religious Education as a CCD Teacher and other activities there. She played tennis, expressed her musical side playing piano, loved travel to Ireland, Israel and other journeys, however, she mostly loved and enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren and their travels as a family to Disney World in Florida, and was well-loved by all she met. She will be dearly missed by her family, including: a son and daughter-in-law, Michael & Anju Brodbine of Michigan; three daughters and cherished son-in-law, Sandra & Robert A. Umanita of Salisbury, Deborah Brodbine and Teresa Brodbine, both of Peabody; four loving grandchildren, Robert M. Umanita and Shannon Claire-Rose Umanita, both of Salisbury, Joshua C. Brodbine and Tahra Claire Brodbine, both of Michigan; two brothers, Leo J. Milotte of Naples, FL and Robert W. Milotte of Middleton, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary P. Bryant. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her funeral which will be held on Monday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut ST. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 6 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 1 Abbey Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346-3230
