Obituary of Patricia J. "Pat" (Malinowski) Evans

Patricia J. “Pat” (Malinowski) Evans, 56, loving wife of Brian P. Evans of Peabody, died on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family at her side. Pat was born in Salem, on November 10, 1956, daughter of the late Adolph J. and Caroline R. (Zielinski) Malinowski. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1974. She then pursued her education at North Shore Community College. Pat has been a lifelong resident of Peabody. Pat was employed for 10 years as a customer service representative at Christian Book Distributors in Peabody leaving on a disability due to esophageal cancer. Pat was a loving mother who devoted her entire life to creating a home for her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her family at Little Squam Lake in NH and traveling. In addition to her husband Brian with whom she shared 31 years of marriage, Pat is survived by 2 daughters, Jessie C. Byrne and her husband Matthew of Danvers, and Diana N. Evans of Peabody and her boyfriend Anthony Masella; her brother Peter F. Malinowski of Beverly; her large extended family, her many friends, and her beloved cats Rocky, Adrienne and Amber. Pat was pre deceased on December 16, 2012 by her sister-in-law Carol Malinowski. Pat’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Family and friends are welcomed to pay their respects from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later time.
