Obituary of Norma R (Craveiro) Spiliotis

Norma R. (Craveiro) Spiliotis, 90, of Danvers and formerly of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Wednesday at her home. She was the devoted wife of the late James Spiliotis. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Borges) Craveiro. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of PeabodyHigh School, class of 1941. Norma was employed with the city of Peabody for over 14 years as a Bilingual Teachers Aid at the Carroll School before she retired in 1991. She was a member of the VFW post 1011 in Peabody and was a volunteer at the Peabody Red Cross as well. She is survived by a son, James Spiliotis of Haverhill, two daughters, Mary and her husband Robert Marchand of Danvers, and Elizabeth Pither of Naples, FL., and is also survived by five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Evelyn Silva, Arthur Craveiro, Irene Phillips and Edith Correia. A private family Memorial Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
