Obituary of Leo A. Plante

Leo A. Plante PEABODY—Leo A. Plante, 70, passed away on Saturday April 13, 2013 at the Pilgrim Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center in Peabody following a long illness. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Simeon and Florence (Parras) Plante. He grew up in Peabody and attended Peabody schools. Mr. Plante was a machinist with General Electric Company in Lynn for 40 years before retiring 11 years ago. Leo enjoyed golfing in several North Shore leagues, playing softball and known for his pitching skills, and he also enjoyed bowling. He will be remembered for loving sports, his strong will and living his life simply. He is survived by a son Todd Plante of Lynn; one grandchild; friends April and Steven Paolini who helped in his caregiving, three step-children, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the husband of Judy (Murray) Plante of Peabody. Following cremation, relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Friday April 19, 2013 from 11:30 – 1 P.M. followed by a Funeral Ceremony at 1 P.M. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
