Obituary of Robert L. "Bob" Cimmino, Sr.

Robert L. ‘Bob” Cimmino, Sr., 81, of Peabody, beloved husband of the late Audrey (Simpson) Cimmino, died early Friday morning at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington following a brief illness. Born in East Boston, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose (Scola) Cimmino. He was raised in Boston, later lived in Revere for ten years and has spent the last 46 years living in Peabody. Bob was an independent flooring contractor for over 40 years working on the North Shore. He was a member of Local Union 2168 of Dorchester. He loved horse racing and was an avid handicapper at Suffolk Downs. He is survived by his loving children, Robert L. Cimmino, Jr and his wife Marianne of Waterford, Ct, Karen Cimmino of Peabody, Steven and his wife Shelly Cimmino of Nottingham, NH, his late son, Edward “Teddy” Cimmino, and David and his wife Holly Cimmino of Kingston, NH, brother of Fred of Revere, Tony of Florida, Anita Marrama and Theresa Cimmino, both of Woburn, loving grandfather of Jennifer, Jeremy, Jessica, Steven Jr., Matthew, David and Audrey Cimmino. He was predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Joe and Louie Cimmino. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM noon at St. John’sChurch, Church St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
