Obituary of Anna (Cafarelli) Formica

Anna (Cafarelli) Formica, 87, beloved wife of Charlie Formica, died Friday, May 3, 2013 with her family at her side at Blueberry Hill Nursing Home, Beverly. Anna was born in Revere, on April 8, 1926, daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Panebianco) Cafarelli. She was raised in Revere and graduated from Revere High School. In 1957, Anna and her family moved to West Peabody. Anna was employed for 15 years at Sears and Roebuck in Saugus as a contractor administrator. She was a loving mother who dedicated her life to creating a home for her children and later was so proud her 3 grandchildren whom she adored. As a caring person, Anna volunteered at the HoganRegionalCenter in Hathorne. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and traveling worldwide with her husband. In addition to her husband with whom she shared 65 years of marriage, Anna is survived by her loving children and daughters-in-law, Pat and Cindy Formica, Sandra Formica, and Steve and Kim Formica; her cherished grandchildren Lauren, Samantha and Luca Formica; her loving sisters, Yolanda, Mafalda “Muffy”, Anita, Rita, Lydia, Emily and Vienna; her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Olga, Anthony, Leonard and George. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the AssumptionChurch, 758 Lynnfield St., Lynnfield.
