Obituary of Ocie O. (Spry) Tritt

Ocie O. (Spry) Tritt, 101, of Peabody, wife of the late David O. Tritt with whom she shared 43 years of marriage, died on Friday, May 3, 2013 with her family at her side at the Peabody Glen Health Care Center in Peabody. Mrs. Tritt was born in Crocket County, TN, on January 10, 1912, daughter of Stokley and Dora (Hughes) Spry. She was raised and educated in Crocket County. Prior to coming to Peabody to live with her daughter Dorothy, she had been a resident of Memphis, TN. Mrs. Tritt was employed for 28 years as an assembler at the Firestone Rubber & Tire Company in Memphis; TN. Mrs. Tritt had a passion for family cooking and entertaining, and as hobbies she enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens, quilting and sewing. Mrs. Tritt is survived by her daughter, Dorothy J. DeMarco with whom she resided in Peabody for 21 years; 6 grandchildren, Beverly Willey of Lynn, Raymond DeMarco of Reading, Lawrence DeMarco of Stoneham, Thomas DeMarco of Lynn, Judith Costa of Peabody and Michael DeMarco of Revere; 22 great grandchildren and 12 great great-grandchildren, and 5 nieces. She was pre deceased by 2 grandsons, Leonard DeMarco and David DeMarco. Family and friends are invited to attend her graveside service on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at1 p.m. at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 100 Rear Cedar Grove Avenue, Peabody.
