Obituary of Louise M "Weezy" D'Orsi

Louise M. “Weezy” D’Orsi, 57 of Peabody and formerly of Everett, died peacefully early Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. Born in Medford, she was the daughter of Virginia (Pastore) D’Orsi of Peabody and the late Louis D’Orsi. She was raised and educated in Everett and was a graduate of EverettHigh School, class of 1974. She has lived in Peabody for the past 6 years. Weezy was employed with Massachusetts DOT Highway Division for 25 years before she retired due to her illness. She was a member of the St. Anthony’s Drill Team and Alumni Association in Everett and was a member of the Everett/Saugus Elks as well. She also enjoyed traveling, but her favorite time was spending time with her family and sharing in all of their endeavors. Besides her mother, she survived by her siblings, Diana D’Orsi, Virginia D’Orsi and Michael and his wife Anita D’Orsi, all of Peabody, her nieces and nephews, Abigail, Brendan, Samantha, Alexandra, Kaitlyn and Stefan and is also survived by her loving companion, her dog Lola. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Kaplan Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
