Obituary of June E. (Boyle) Patten
Peabody, March 26, 2003. June E. (Boyle) Patten, 84, of Peabody, died Wednesday evening at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Herbert Patten, Jr.
Born and raised in Southbridge, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Lavoie) Boyle. She was educated in Southbridge and was a graduate of St. Mary’ s High School, class of 1936. She later attended Becker Junior College in Worcester.
She lived in Lynn for a few years and has spent the last 51 years living in Peabody. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Vitalina Patten of Peabody; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Lorraine Boyle of Southbridge; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Harriet and Roland Proulx and Elaine and Antwoine Trudeau, all of Southbridge; 2 grandchildren, Stephen Patten of Beverly and Michael Patten of Gloucester, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Florence Mercure.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Visitation on Friday from 5-8 PM.
