Obituary of Ronald T. Cook

Ronald T. Cook PEABODY—Ronald T. Cook, 81, died peacefully on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Hingley) Cook. He was a lifelong resident of the city, and graduated from Peabody High School. Mr. Cook was employed as a Foreman with Salem Shoe for 35 years. He later worked as a Custodian for 10 years with the City of Peabody before retiring. Ron was was faithfully active with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Peabody for many years where he was an Altar Server in his youth. He is survived by two sons, William Cook & his wife Nancy of Groveland and David Cook & his wife Laurell of Windham, NH; a daughter Ann Marie Cook of Northfield, NH; six grandchildren, Ashley Cook Amanda Cook, Andrew Cook, Lauren Cook, Dillon Cook, and Israel Cook; his good friend Cynthia Kolhonen of Peabody; one brother Robert Cook of Beverly; one sister Arlene Durgin of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, he was the husband of the late Priscilla (Lyons) Cook, brother of the late Roy Cook and Jean McDonald, and brother-in-law of the late Barbara Cook, Mercedes Cook, John McDonald, and Nelson Durgin. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday May 24, 2013 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
