Obituary of Eugene L Call
Eugene L. Call, 72, of Peabody, died early Tuesday afternoon at the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehab center in Salem following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Lorraine (Moroni) Call with whom he shared over 34 years of Marriage.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Reginald and Selma (Guillifer) Call. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School, class of 1952.
Upon marrying his wife, he moved to Peabody where he spent the last 34 years living. He was a computer operator analyst who worked for over 25 years for GTE Sylvania in Danvers. He later was a bus driver for the Wenham and Rowley School districts.
He was a wonderful husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He also was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and bowling.
Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Nathan and Brandon Call and a daughter, Lisa Martiniello, all of Peabody, three brothers, Dr. Richard W. Call of York, Pa, Thomas H. Call and William W. Call, both of Lynn, a sister, Darilyn Dipietro of Haverhill, and is also survived by two grandchildren.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:45 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:45 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody
