Obituary of Christy Decoulos

Christy Decoulos, 74, of Peabody, died early Tuesday morning at the Pilgrim Nursing Home in Peabody following a brief illness. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Stella (Salpas) Decoulos. He was raised and educated in Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. Prior to his retirement, he worked for several years at the Cross Keys Apartment complex in Peabody in the maintenance department. He was a member of St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody and also enjoyed listening to classical music. He is survived by his sister, Peggy Decoulos of Peabody, a sister-in-law, Kay Decoulos of Peabody, a nephew Nicholas Decoulos of Danvers, a niece, Stephanie Black of Georgia, and he is also survived by his great nieces and nephews, John and Nicole Decoulos and Jenna and Frank DeMauro. He was the brother of the late John Decoulos. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the St.Vasilios Altar Fund, 7 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
