Obituary of Jurgen Greeley

Jürgen Greeley, 59, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died Saturday at Massachusetts General Hospital following a sudden illness. He was the devoted husband of Christiane Greeley with whom he shared over 20 years of marriage. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, he was the son of the late Stanley Dempsey and Lieselotte Bock. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1972. Jürgen was employed as an Air Export Specialist for Dachser Transport of America in Chelsea for the past two years. He enjoyed working on and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, watching Formula 1 racing and sharing his technical knowledge with his sons. He also enjoyed camping with his family and friends. Besides his loving wife Christiane, he is survived by his two sons; Geoffrey and Kyle Greeley of Peabody, his two brothers; David and his wife Susan Greeley of Bradford and Thomas and his wife Lisa Greeley of Lynnfield, his two sisters; Susan and her husband Paul Losano of Swampscott and Kim Hegyes and Tom Peterson of Nahant, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Following his cremation visiting hours will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Funeral Service and Burial services will be private.
