Obituary of Craig J. Bottary

Craig J. Bottary, 27, of Peabody, entered into Heaven on Monday, June 3, 2013. Craig was born in Beverly, on October 9, 1985, son of Joseph M. and Marianne (Purcell) Bottary. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Class of 2004. Craig excelled in sports and played hockey at St. Mary’s High School in Lynn and also at PVMHS in Peabody. Craig attended hockey camps where he received his referee certification. He later pursued his education at North Shore Community College. Craig was employed in telephone sales for a National Telemarking Company. He was an avid sports fan and as hobbies, he enjoyed playing hockey and spending time with friends and family. In addition to his parents of Peabody, Craig is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Arthur and Lena Vachon of Fitchburg, Stephen and Alison Vachon of Wakefield, Jennifer Vachon, and Miranda and Joseph DiFranco all of Peabody; 2 aunts and 2 uncles, Dorothy and Charles Karigianis of Lynn, Carol Carpenter of Quincy and James Bottary of Hopedale; 8 nieces and nephews, Daniella, Anthony, Christian, Alexis, Dylan, Kelsey, Ava and Jared. Craig was predeceased by his grandparents, Dorothy Purcell, and Leo and Mary Bottary. Craig’s funeral will be held on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Mass at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A family committal of ashes will be held at a later time.
