Obituary of Gloria A (Lavoie) Haight

Gloria A (Lavoie) Haight, 68, of Salem, died June 5 at the Salem Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of David Haight with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rita (Paquette) Lavoie. Raised and educated in Peabody, she was part of the last graduating class of St. John’s High School in Peabody, class of 1962. She continued her education at Essex Aggie in Danvers and received her degree in nursing in 1964. Gloria was employed as an LPN for over 20 years for the Pediatric Health Care Associates in Salem before she retired three years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family and sharing in all of their endeavors. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Andrew and his wife Mary Haight of Salem, a daughter, Jennifer Haight and her husband Kyle Wright of Killeen, TX and by her three loving grandchildren, Taylor Wright, and Connor and Thomas Haight. She was predeceased by her brother Robert Lavoie. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. John’sChurch, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
