Obituary of Charles V McCue
Charles V. McCue, 87, of Middleton and formerly of Malden, Winchester and Brookline, died on Saturday evening at the Kindred Hospital Boston North Shore in Peabody following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband in Mary (Walsh) McCue.
Born in Malden he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Mary (Connolly) McCue. He was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School. He later received his bachelor’s degree from Bentley College in Waltham and later he earned his CPA, and finally in 1964 received his law degree from Boston College Law School.
Charles was a veteran of WWII who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in July 1946 with the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. After the war, he was employed as a CPA for over 35 years at Price Waterhouse Coopers in Boston before retiring.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Kathleen McCue and her husband David M. Cole of Middleton, his beloved grandson Dylan Cole, four step granddaughters, Kerri Alvarez, Ashley Silveira, Jessica Cole and Kristi Cole, and by two step great grandchildren Logan Alvarez and Addison Silveira, and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in Holy Hood Cemetery, 587 Heath St., Brookline, MA.
