Obituary of Stephen R. Kucker

Stephen R. Kucker, 70, of East Kingston, NH and formerly of Peabody, MA, died Saturday evening at his residence with his family at his side. He was the husband of Ann (Maria) Kucker with whom they recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. He was born in Salem, Ma. on January 14, 1943, the son of the late Stephen and Virginia (Elwell) Kucker and was raised in Peabody, graduating from PeabodyHigh School in 1960. After his marriage, Stephen and his family resided in Peabody for 40 years and Byfield for 23 years before moving to East Kingston 7 years ago. Stephen had been a firefighter with the City of Peabody for twenty years before retiring as an acting Lieutenant in 1989, also worked with carpentry and worked various transportation and he was employed with American Airlines at LoganAirport, Boston. Stephen loved to drive his gold wing motorcycle and had been a member of the Romeos of NH, and the Blue Knights and Retreads Motor Cycle Groups of Mass. Stephen was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Navy from 1960 until his discharge in 1966. He enjoyed camping and playing golf in New Hampshire but his favorite time was spent sharing with his family. He is survived by his wife Ann, of East Kingston, NH, a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen R. Kucker Jr. and his wife Toni Lyn of Danvers, a daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Michael Dugan Sr. of Bradford, MA, his cherished grandchildren, Cody Kucker and Devan Kucker both of Haverhill, Brianna Kucker of Danvers and Michael Dugan Jr. of Bradford, a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Gail Kucker of Salem, MA, a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Michael Kawczynski of Merrimack, NH, his mother-in-law, Mary Maria of Peabody, MA, 2 brothers –in-law, Anthony and his wife Denise Maria of Jacksonville, Fl, and George and Geri Maria of Georgetown, MA and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral Service will be held there on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
