Obituary of Frank Vincent Vetree

Frank Vincent Vetree, 68, of Salem, passed away peacefully at his home on July 23, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends. He was a devoted family man who could light up a room with his smile and laughter, a memory that will stay with us forever. He had an amazing sense of humor, and a kind and generous spirit that made people love him. He will be truly missed by all. He was born in Chelsea, MA, the son of the late Virgil and Dorothy (Watts) Vetree and was raised in Revere graduating from RevereHigh School in 1962. He entered the MASS National Guard in 1963 and served six years in reserve in Lexington before his discharge in 1969. Frank was first employed at the Coolbrot Painting Company in Somerville. He later began working with the Gate Gourmet Company and worked up to General Manager of In Flight Catering for 25 years at LoganAirport and later in New York retiring in 2000. He enjoyed golfing at the Mt.Hood golf course in Melrose, riding his bike on the bike trails and cherished taking time to share with his family. The Vetree family is grateful to all the staff of the All Care Hospice of Lynn for all their dedication given to them during these past few months and also to a special lady form Hospice of North Shore, Mary Patchett for all of her support given to the Vetree family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathleen (Wilkey) Vetree of Salem, a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jennifer Vetree and his grandson Owen Vetree all of Newbury, MA, two daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen and Paul Felice of Lynn and Kristina and Rob Newmann of Peabody, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Vetree and Regina Gigliano of Winthrop and Alan and Lawrie Vetree of Merrimac, NH, a sister-in-law, Mary Patchett of Newburyport and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. His funeral will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St., Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Mem. Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to All Care Hospice, 210 Market St., Lynn, MA01901 and/or to Hospice of North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite 102 B, Danvers, MA01923 in his memory.
