Obituary of Lenore A. (Cena) Powers

Lenore A. (Cena) Powers HAMPTON FALLS, NH/ PEABODY—Lenore A. (Cena) Powers, 69, beloved wife of Thomas Powers, died unexpectedly yet peacefully on Monday July 29, 2013 at her home, while she was in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Madeline A. (Cummings) Cena. She grew up in Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School, Class of 1961. She then attended the John Powers School of Modeling before training as a Paralegal. She lived in Peabody for many years, and recently moved up to Hampton Falls, NH and spent winters in Cocoa Beach, FL. Mrs. Powers was a Paralegal with the Law Firm of Goldman, Kamen, and Harris in Peabody for many years until retiring. Lenore enjoyed scrapbooking, and was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge in Merritt Island, FL. She was very supportive and actively involved with many close friends, including especially her Goddaughter Tara Nolan. She enjoyed 22 wonderful years of marriage with her husband Tom. She is survived by her husband Thomas Powers of Hampton Falls, NH & Cocoa Beach, FL; a Goddaughter Tara Nolan and her mother June Lewis; an aunt, Genevieve Foster; and several cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a brother Paul Cena. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Thursday August 1, 2013 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
