Obituary of Nidia A. (Paz) Rosato
Nidia A. (Paz) Rosato, 61, of Lynn, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the NSMC Union Hospital in Lynn. She was the devoted wife of David Rosato.
She was born in El Salvador, Central America on April 2, 1952, and the daughter of Angelica Paz / Spinney and immigrated to Lynn, MA in 1965.
She had been a nurse’s aide at the former J.B.Thomas Hospital, Peabody for 24 years. She later worked as a waitress at the Marriott at Peabody hotel and later was employed at the Lab at Union Hospital for 15 years prior to her retirement 4 years ago. She also worked at the Farnsworth Nursing Home in Peabody.
She was a very caring person who loved taking care of the patients in the hospital. She also enjoyed taking care of and nurturing her cats. Each January for five years, she volunteered to go to Central America for a month helping with the friends of Asaprosar in El Savador in the Eye Program there.
She is survived by her husband, David of Lynn, a step-daughter and her husband, Kerri Rosato Schmidt and Matthew Schmidt of West Forest , No Carolina, a sister, Aida Batista of MA, two step-grandchildren, Michael and Ethan Schmidt of No Carolina, a mother-in-law, Bernadette Rosato of Danvers and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4- 8 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility with a Service to be held there at 7:45 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
