Obituary of Jean (Butt) Lundgren

Jean (Butt) Lundgren, 57, of Peabody and formerly of Newfoundland, Canada, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Hospital in Burlington following a long illness. Born in, Blackhead, Conception Bay, Newfoundland, Canada, she was the daughter of Lillian M. (Hullett) Butt of Blackhead and the late Herbert Butt. She lived in that town, where she also attended schools, until she moved to Peabody nearly 40 years ago. She worked as a Clerical Assistant with John Hancock Life Insurance Company, at their Boston office for several years, and worked as a Sales Clerk in the Women’ s Department at the former Jordan Marsh Store, now Macy’ s Dept. Store at the North Shore Mall in Peabody for over 25 years. She loved being at home with her dear family and friends, and especially enjoyed her nurturing and caregiving role as mother and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly & Neil Kelley of York, ME and Diane & Brett Kawczynski of Salem; one son and daughter-in-law, Glen & Susan Butt of London, Ontario, Canada; seven grandchildren, Brad Kelley and Jack Kelley both of York, ME, Kasha Kawczynski, Tyler Kawczynski, Mack Kawczynski and Gavin Kawczynski all of Salem, and Daniel Butt of London, Ontario, Canada; her mother, Lillian M. (Hullett) Butt of Blackhead, Newfoundland; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda & Eric Milley and Dianne & Ern Kelly both of Blackhead, Newfoundland; one brother and sister-in-law, Herbert & Brenda Butt of Blackhead, many nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to her Funeral Ceremony, held on Saturday at 12:30 PM in the Cahill-Brodeur Facility at 20 Church St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be in York, ME next week.
