Obituary of Angeliko "Angie" Adamopoulos
Angeliko “Angie” (Andrianopolos) Adamopoulos, 95, of Peabody, died early Thursday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Peter Adamopoulos.
She was born in Peabody, MA on September 19, 1917, the daughter of the late Emanuel and Katherine (Berakis) Andrianopolos and was a life long resident of the city. She was a graduate of Peabody High School. Angie had been a long time member of St. Vasilios Church and was a member of the Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed making Greek pastries and helped working with the St. Vasilios Bingo Committee for many years.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Elaine Adamopoulos of Peabody, and was Yia- Yia to Lisa and Andrea Adamopoulos and “ Yia-Yia Angie” to Chase, Brodie and Colin. She was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.
A Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by Services in St. Vasilios Church, Peabody at 11:00 AM.
