Obituary of Philip Henry Stoodley
PEABODY-Philip H. Stoodley, 83, of Glenway Ave, beloved husband of the late M. Margaret (Nelson) Stoodley, died suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on Thursday.
Born in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Thomas and Madeline (Kilbride) Stoodley. He lived in Peabody for the last 34 years.
He served in the Civilian Conservvation Corp (C.C.C.), and retired from the M.B.T.A.
He was a veteran of World War II, with service in the United States Army.
He was a member of the V.F. W.in Revere and was a communicant at St. Ann’ s Church in South Peabody.
He is survived by: three daughters, Madelyn & Michael Faraday of Carrabassett Valley, ME, and Mary Morse of Danvers and Mauricia & Christopher Rollins of Boxford; one grandson, Thomas Faraday of Carrabassett Valley, ME; and many nieces, nephews, and supportive neighbors and friends.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8 AM from the Conway facility at 12 Chestnut St. of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
