Obituary of Violanda M. "Viola" Manozzi
Violanda M. “Viola” (Ferullo) Manozzi, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday September 3, 2013. Loving mother to Joseph Manozzi and his wife Lisa, Michele Merullo and her husband Leo, all of Peabody, daughter of the late Guiseppe and Assunta (Matarazzo) Ferullo, loving sister of Eleanor “Helen” Stillman of Peabody and the late May Finamore, Bonnie Sciarappa, Mary, Margaret, Louis, Michael, John, Joseph, and Anthony Ferullo. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Merullo and his wife Caitlin of Boxford, Alyssa Merullo, Kristen and Joseph Tyler Manozzi, all of Peabody. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews as well as her devoted friend Rose Cerbone.
She was loved and adored by many and especially enjoyed having her family gather together at the holidays but truly enjoyed traveling with her family on cruises and trips to many exciting places. While living in East Boston, she enjoyed the activities and trips with the East Boston Senior Center. When she relocated to Peabody with her family, she enjoyed her weekly Saturday trip to the Mall for shopping, movies and dinner with her sister Helen and dear friend Rose A/K/A the Golden Girls. She was a devoted fan of the Soap Operas, Food Network and the Lawrence Welk Show.
Her funeral will be held on Friday at 8:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at St. John’s Church, 16 Church St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Memorial donations can be made in her name to either North Shore Elder Services 152 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923 or VNA Care Network & Hospice, 199 Rosewood Drive, Danvers, MA 01923.
The family of Viola Manozzi would like to thank Dr. Kristin O'Neil-Callahan, and her staff at Lynnfield Medical for all of thier care, support and professionalism during thier most difficult time. They are truly grateful to her and her staff.
