Obituary of Blanche (Provencial) Oliveira

Blanche (Provencial) Oliveira, 83, of Peabody, died early Monday morning at the Rosewood Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Anibal A. Oliveira. Born in Rollinsford (formally known as Salmon Falls,) New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marion (Dumare) Provencial. She was raised in New Hampshire and after her marriage had lived in Peabody for a number of years and later in Bedford for 25 years and has lived in Peabody for the past 5 years. Prior to her retirement she had worked in the shoe industry, first in the Pequot Cotton Mills in Salem, and later had worked for over 16 years as stitcher with Duchess Foot Wear in Salem. She also enjoyed embroidering, crocheting, and listening to Country Western music on the radio. She is survived by 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Taylor of Lowell, and Lillian and Joseph Lima of Salem; 4 grandchildren, John and his wife Sharon Taylor, Mark Taylor, James and his wife Jennifer Lima and Melissa and her husband Tim Panagas, and 8 great grandchildren. Her funeral mass will be held on Thursday at 8:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 9:00 AM to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem
