Obituary of Andre Sousa Silva

Andre Sousa Silva PEABODY Andre Sousa Silva, 91, beloved husband of the late Conceicao Augusta Silva, died Saturday morning at the Hunt Retirement and Skilled Nursing Center in Danvers. Born in Graciosa, Azores, Portugal he lived there for most of his life, and lived in Peabody for the last 38 years. He enjoyed fishing in his native Azores, and hunting, and lately enjoyed working in his garden. He was a communicant at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. He is survived by: five sons, Albertino Silva, Manny Silva, Norberto Silva, and Lucio Silva all of Peabody, and Delmiro Silva of Ontario, Canada; two daughters, Laudelina Santos of Peabody and Alaide Picanco of Salem, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited. A visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
