Obituary of Gloria R. (Anderson) Gray
Gloria Rose (Anderson) Gray, 78, of Peabody died Saturday at her residence after a 2 year battle with Lymphoma.
She was born and raised in Wellesley, the daughter of the late Carl and Rose Anderson and had resided in Peabody for the past 55 years.
She had been a machinist at the N.E. Carbide Co. in Peabody for 15 years prior to her retirement. She had been the wife of the late V. Wayne Evans and later the late Edward Gray.
She was a member and past commander of the D.A.V.
Chapter 100, of Peabody Ladies Auxiliary and was a state chaplain and vice-commander of the Ladies D.A.V. She also belonged to the CATS division of the D.A.V. and enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Faye Avellis of West Peabody; 2 grandchildren,
David Avellis of Methuen and Dean Avellis of Danvers, and many nieces and nephews and loving friends.

Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility (978-531-0398) followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Lowell St., W. Peabody at 10:00 a.m. Burial in
Puritan Lawn Mem. Park, Peabody. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
