Obituary of Emile J Morin

Emile J. Morin, 96, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died Friday afternoon at the Rosewood Nursing Home surrounded by his family following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Mary (Martin) (Fuller) Morin with whom he shared over 39 years of marriage. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Alfred and Marie (Levesque) Morin. He was raised and educated in Salem, later lived in Lynn and has spent the last 40 years living in Peabody. Emile was a veteran on World War II who served with the United States Army and was honorably discharged in January of 1946. Emile was last employed with Parker Brothers in Salem as an assembler of puzzles for 17 years before retiring many years ago. He enjoyed tinkering in his wood shop at home and loved having coffee in the morning with the boys at the Peabody House. He also enjoyed spending time in Wells, Maine with his son and daughter-in-law and at Limerick Maine at SokokisLake with his brother-in-law and family and was an avid fan of baseball and the Boston Red Sox. Besides his loving wife of 39 years, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Thomas Smith of Peabody, a daughter-in-law, Marie Morin of Lynn, two grandchildren, Robert and Erin Smith and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Barbara (Blackadar) Morin, his son Donald Morin and by 15 brothers and sisters. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 until 11:00 AM. Burial services will be private.
