Obituary of Eleanor (Murch) (Lorenz) Brosque

Eleanor (Murch) Lorenz - Brosque, RN., 91, of Lynnfield and formerly of Salem, died Sunday at the Union Hospital in Lynn after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Frederick T. Lorenz and later the late John Brosque. She was born in North Jay, Maine on January 24, 1913, the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie (Wright) Murch and was raised there before moving to Massachusetts. She had resided in Salem, Ma for 65 years before moving to Lynnfield 5 years ago. She was a graduate of Mass General Hospital School of Nursing class of 1934 and was Associated with Mass General Hospital, then Salem Hospital for many years and later at the former Mary Alley Hospital in Marblehead until her retirement 15 years ago. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, Dining out, reading and going to her summer camp in Sebago Lake, Maine. She had been a member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church in Marblehead. Surviving her are a daughter and son in-law, Mary Ellen and Guy Festa of Lynnfield, 3 grandchildren, Kalyn Barker of Auburn, ME, Kara Jones and her husband Joshua of E. Stoneham, ME and Frederick and his wife Amy Lorenz of Charlestown, MA, 2 special friends, Marion L. Taylor and Irene Willey both of Salem, two great grandchildren, Keegan Dawson Jones and Camden Ann Jones and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late David Lorenz and Judith Ann Lorenz and the sister of the late Gerald Murch. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 - 11:30 AM prior to the Service. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
