Obituary of Constantinas "Charlie" Moutsoulas
Constantinas “Charlie” Moutsoulas, 61, of Peabody, died Monday evening surrounded by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers after a 6 year battle with multiple myeloma. He was the loving husband of 32 years to Valeri (Boyle) Moutsoulas.
He was born in Peabody on December 4, 1951, the son of the late Leonidas and Demetra (Demopoulos) Moutsoulas and was raised here graduating from Peabody High School in 1970 where he played and excelled on the Basketball team.
Charlie had been an entrepreneur in the restaurant business most of his life starting in Amesbury operating the Midway Diner for 5 years. He started and open many other restaurants and deli shops in the NorthShore. For the past 20 years, he was the proprietor of Stephy’s Kitchen in Beverly. He was known as one of the best short order cooks on the NorthShore,
He enjoyed going to Seabrook Race Track meeting and socializing with his friends there. He had been a member of the Saugus/Everett Lodge of Elks, NO.642. He had a very large heart helping with the special needs children and giving his time and effort to them.
He is survived by his wife,Valeri, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Lisa Moutsoulas and Nicholas Moutsoulas , and two daughters and a son-in-law, Stephenie and James McGahey and Alexandra Moutsoulas all of Peabody, his siblings and spouses, James “Demo” and Linda Moutsoulas and William Moutsoulas all of Peabody, John and Jeannette Moutsoulas and Alice and James Noble all of Salem, a granddaughter Mary Lynn Moutsoulas of Peabody, his mother and father –in-law, Janet Wheat of Peabody and Willard Boyle of Seabrook, NH, his sister and brother –in-laws, Donna Marconi of Newburyport, Paula Mitchell of Dover, NH, Willard Boyle of PA and Gregory Wheat Jr. of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Steven, Nicholas and Arthur Moutsoulas.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM at the Family lot in HarmonyGroveCemetery, Grove St., Salem.
