Obituary of Eleanor Pauline (Damore) McPhee

Eleanor P. (Damore) McPhee, 78, beloved wife of Joseph McPhee, died at Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehab Hospital on Sunday following a brief illness. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late John and Caroline (Lanzillotta) Damore. She lived in Revere in her youth, attended Revere schools and graduated from Revere High School. She lived in Peabody for the last 50 years. Mrs. McPhee was a Teacher’ s Aide at Miss Fay’ s Country Day School which was later named the Lakeside School in West Peabody. She valued family and friends, was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of Air Force Sargents Association, was an avid reader, very skilled in her domestic affairs as a great cook, homemaker, and companion, she enjoyed travel to Florida, attending theater at North Shore Music Theater, and was a devoted parishioner at ST. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody. Mrs. McPhee was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and will be deeply missed by her family, including: her husband, Joseph McPhee of Peabody, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage; three daughters, Kathleen Deleskey of Beverly, Donna Soper of Peabody, and Linda Mulcahy of Dover, NH; two grandchildren, Patrick and Matthew; one sister, Cecilia Marston of Rockland, and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Friday at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St. location, Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Adelaide’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital, Dove Ave, Salem, MA 01970. P
