Margaret R. (Jennings) Bellaconis
PEABODY-- Margaret R. (Jennings) Bellaconis, 73, beloved wife of the late Walter Bellaconis, Sr., died peacefully on Monday October 14, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital in Peabody following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Leahy) Jennings from Ireland. She grew up in Salem where she attended St. James School, and graduated from the all girls St. James High School, Salem. Margaret was raised in Salem and lived in Peabody for over 30 years.
Mrs. Bellaconis enjoyed being at home while raising her family. She also worked many years for Eagle Can Company of Peabody.
Margaret was affectionately known as “Meg” by her husband, and “Peggy” by family and friends. She was active in the North Shore Elders programs, one being the Golden Years Club at the Torigian Community Life Center, and also playing Bingo. She loved babysitting for her grandchildren who called her “Nana”.
She is survived by three daughters, Peggy Bellaconis & her husband Bob Rogers of Billerica, Patty Mangini of Peabody and Mary Ellen & her husband Salvatore Zarro of Peabody; two sons, Walter Bellaconis, Jr. of Beverly and Joseph Bellaconis of Peabody; seven grandchildren, Mindy Mangini, Tricia Mangini, Danielle R. Rogers, Nicholas Rogers, Giuseppe Zarro, Salvatore Zarro, and Michael Zarro; one great-granddaughter, Lily Tripari; two sisters, Nancy & her husband Robert Mulligan of Salem and Josephine & her husband Renato DeFilippo of Danvers, a sister-in-law Rose Jennings beloved wife to her late brother Bill Jennings, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her husband and parents, by a granddaughter Alicia Mangini, her sisters and brothers Eileen White, John Jennings, Bill Jennings, her twin Patricia Jennings, and Kathleen Jennings all of Salem.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday October 18, 2013 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
