Obituary of Robert P. "Bob" Valeriani

Robert “Bob” Valeriani, 87, loving husband of devoted wife Katherine (Bailey) Valeriani, died on November 5, 2013 with his loving family by his side at his home in Belleview, FL. Father of Theresa, Cindy and Audrey; his grandchildren, Bruce and Robert, and his great-grandchildren, Samantha, Robbie and Nicholas; stepfather to Richard and Denise; step-grandfather to Mitchell, Joey, Kyle, Jacob and Riley. Bob was predeceased by his loving first wife Theresa (DeChristoforo) Valeriani, his parents, Paulo and Palmira (Fornari) Valeriani, and six siblings. Born and raised in Charlestown, he served with distinction in the Navy and Merchant Marines during WWII, and he entered Normandy on D-Day. Bob was a member of the Teamsters Union 25 in Boston working as a truck driver. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Bob’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. which will be followed by a committal service and U.S. Navy Military Honors at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake St., Peabody.
