Obituary of Mark C. "Frank Cannon" Carlson

Mark C. “Frank Cannon” Carlson, 55, of Parkesburg, PA, husband of Amy J. (Ploss) Carlson, died on Friday, November 1, 2013 after a lengthy illness. Mark was born in Beverly, on October 13, 1958, son of the late Harold C. and Sarah A. (Manning) Carlson. He was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School Class of 1976. After High School, Mark worked at the New England Power Plant for several years in Salem. Mark then went to work for Cardinal Health in Peabody later relocating to NY and NJ where he worked as a manager of security and compliance for 15 years. After moving to PA “Boston Mark” was employed as a welder fabricator at CDL Welding and in the same capacity at Benedix Welding Companies. Mark devoted his entire life to his family and friends and loved the family dogs. Mark loved to draw and build “stuff” and enjoyed reading anything and everything, and was also a “Rod & Gun” enthusiast. Many will remember him for artistic ability, wittiness and sarcastic sense of humor. In addition to his wife with whom he shared 25 years of marriage, Mark is survived by his children, Kelsey S. Carlson and Cody A. Carlson, both of Allentown, PA; a sister and her husband, Kathy A. Carlson – Smith and William Smith of Peabody; a brother, Eric J. Carlson of Milton, VT; his aunts and uncles, Frances Manning, Chester and Charlotte Carlson, and Alice and Louis Baglio all of Peabody, a niece, Hannah Carlson of VT, and a nephew, Tyler Carlson of CA, and many cousins and friends. His family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., (downtown next to City Hall & St. John the Baptist Church) Peabody. His celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial of ashes will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
